I was a teenager and my mom and I went to a dance series where we saw Neil Applebaum's old group (wish I could remember the name now!) at one show and Pepsi Bethel at another at Riverside Church. I had been studying tap in jr. high and high school, but knew that this was the kind of tap I wanted to do! Just loved the rhythms and creativity.
ReplyDeletePepsi was a teacher of mine at Clark Center and influenced me a lot (along with Thelma Hill). I did photography of his group and shot them at Riverside Church. Maybe you were there when I was!
